How people watch that Man Vs. Food show. Whenever it is on, I cannot help to think, wow, this guy is getting PAID to literally eat until he cannot eat anymore, while millions of people across the country go hungry every day.
That should be fucking illegal. It should be a crime against humanity. But it's not. Why? Because society says it's fine
Yet you continue to support it by watching it. Television in general is one giant scam, creating shows that draw you in so that you will see their advertisements.
Also in some movies and stuff, all the gas they waste on explosions and all the stuff that gets destroyed in those explosions. Not to mention all the money that goes into it.

By him not going to the restaurant to eat the food, all those Americans who don't have food will eat.
They don't create these challenges though, they're things commonly offered at restaurants throughout the country. It brings in money for the business, so that's what they do. Do you expect them to ship that food to starving people around the world?
I actually enjoy that show, but not really to see if he can beat the challenge or not. The places he stops at beforehand just look delicious.
But really, by your logic it would be a much better idea to not have game shows and instead donate that prize money to the poor. While it's a noble cause, that's not really the point.
I don't really watch much tv anyways though.

I've always wanted to try this kind of challenge where you have to eat a bigass steak in a certain time and it's free if you succeed. 5thgrade;

Do you feel similar resentment towards fat people in general?
This discussion could actually expand to the whole entertainment industry.
BUT
I'd rather not discuss that. giggle;
You might enjoy literature from contemporary ethicists such as Peter Singer and Peter Unger. They believe in a highly demanding ethics also. One in which you should donate over half of your income to starving children in Africa. goowan

Sounds like the Bible
Considering how my professor constantly used their books to defend Catholic social justice, I would say it is very similar to the bible.
I thought it was a bit bogus too.

You spend 8 hours working and 8 hours sleeping. Before the computer, that's what's filled up the rest of the 8.
