My meaning is for wearing the shoes inside

in houses i've lived in, i've usually kept my shoes in my room, like behind my door or somewhere else that's not out in the open, and so i'd walk from the front door to my room with my shoes on, but that's it
in other peoples' houses, i generally take my shoes off right at the front door because i find it to be the polite thing to do.
we're supposed to do that by the lady's shoes take up the whole closet scarecrowdood;
flip flops are honestly the most awkward piece of footwear known to man confuseddood;

Sometimes I accidentally walk in with them on but then I get to a room with carpet or a rug and I am like "OH FUCK I DIDNT TAKE MY SHOES OFF WTF WAS I THINKING"

Essentially no. When I get home, I walk (across only tile) to my own room before taking my shoes and socks off, But the rest of my family frequently walks through the entire house with shoes on.

Maybe Arizona is different about this sort of thing, because if friends just took their shoes off upon entering my house I'd find it kind of weird, unless they were close friends that hang out a lot or something.
