Title: How do I find a usb cord for my old ipod?
Post by: strongbad on May 04, 2011, 03:43:03 PM
I have a 3rd generation ipod from like 8th grade, and since I just lost my mp3 player, I realized that if I had a usb cable, I could use this one.
One of these:

Whenever I search "ipod 3rd gen" or anything like that on google or ebay or amazon I just get ipod touch 3rd gen or ipod classic 3rd gen or nano or something BUT NEVER THE REAL ONE.

Any ideas?

Also do you guys know if the older models use a different usb cord? Just because I tried connecting with one of my friend's ipod touch usb adapters and while it fit in my ipod, it said that the device wasn't recognized on my computer, so I don't know if that was because the cord shouldn't have been connected to that ipod, or if my ipod is just fucked up.

Apparently the same usb cord is consistent with all models, damn, that means my ipod is broken.

Maybe it's just the cable, dude.
