I think it's pretty good as long as I can understand what they're screaming about and not just making incoherent pig squeals. Like Rise Against is okay, cuz I know what they're saying.

Are you just talking about varieties of metal and punk in general that tend toward screamed vocals?

You should check those bands out (actually Meshuggah isn't very good imo).
