One of my neighbors got the internet, but the only way we can use it is if we have the laptop right by the wall.
the signal is weak, blah blah blah.
Is there a way to increase the wireless internet signal on our end? an end that has no access whatsoever to the router?
THIS MAY GET INTERNET TO MY WII IF WHAT I'M THINKING IS CORRECT.
BUT IT MAY NOT.
You're basically fucked. You could try getting a better antenna, doubt if that would work though.

BAAAAW
so there is no kind of crazy nerd technology that allows me to increase the wifi signal without access to the router?
ok so I found this
http://www.betterwifirange.com
do you think this will work with what I need done?
I edited my post, a better antenna might help. And, no, I'm not sure if that'll get it to work.
You could try repeating the signal with a router. You'd basically put the router somewhere that you get a signal and then the router repeats the signal. This does slow your connection though; I wouldn't do it if you have a slow connection (slow, not weak). This would be called a wireless repeater or wireless bridge, Google it.
btw I use a wireless bridge and I don't have a problem with it.
I guess you're researching but.. I think the best option would be the repeater/bridge.

The connection isn't slow. What bridge do you use?
Well the bridge/repeater/extender is just a wireless router.

so all i need to buy is a wireless router, and that will make lennys internet spread across our house. right?

It should. I'd google it first and see if it's something you can do. Some people might find it too technical.
Too technical? I'm assuming that all I'd have to do is buy the wireless bridge/router and plug it up. Shouldn't it automatically pick up on lenny's signal, then broadcast it across the house?

Nope, you'd have to set it up.
