I really don't see the problem with it. Nor have I ever had any.
I think it's fine. Just continue typing whatever you are typing when searching for something and you shouldn't have to go back and fix anything.

Well I've never had it mess with whatever I was typing. I think it does put in suggestions and does that search while you're typing, (kinda like t9) but that still hasn't messed with whatever I may have been typing.
I dislike the new Google Images much more, why'd you have to change it Googles it was so nice and not retarded before saddood;
