I got a record player for Christman, but I have no records. I also got a Best Buy gift card. I found out that Best Buy has a huge selection of vinyl records on their website, so I'm going to buy one with it.
I've narrowed it down to these choices. Which should I get?
for love of god dont get a compliation on vyinal
if they have tubular bells or loveless u should get one of those albums

Dark Night of the Soul is an amazing album, you must get it. akudood;
Age of Adz
Removed Deerhunter and Radiohead because the idea of getting them didn't excite me too much.

I was wrong they do have tubular bells. I'm giving it a listen now to see if I would want it
Wait, it's actually too expensive for my gift card. I still might buy it at a record store or maybe find a used copy.

Those were options? Why the fuck did you remove them. Only voted on Age of Adz because its the only one that didnt seem like a waste of money.

I've been trying to find some of their stuff on vinyl at my local record store. I made a thread awhile ago on here asking if anyone else here collected records.

you kept congratulations though
Disregarding the initial question altogether.......
Go to flea markets. Go to the back corner of one and you'll always find a guy who has milk crates overflowing with used/not used/vintage vinyl. Then, buy shitloads of them because you'll find most are under five dollars.
Because, really, the biggest appeal of buying vinyl is the art included.
Which is why I might.......dissuade you from spending too much.
Although I have bought quite a few new releases on vinyl from particular bands.
I dunno, do what you want.

I agree, but the reason I'm getting one of these is because I already have the gift card and I thought a record would be nice to get with it. What else would you recommend from Best Buy? akudood;
But yeah, I do plan on looking around and finding cool older records for really cheap like that. The thing is, a lot of the time it's just shitty old records that aren't my tastes at all. I mean I love some old music, but I don't care about some random artist that nobody outside of early 70's Nebraskan funk fans enjoy.
i want some nebrasken funk
I buy records off their album cover, i have boughten a lot of good albums that way.................... fuk planed purchases
