it says that the sound card/driver is incompatible. I have realtek 97 watsit. am I gonna hafta buy a new sound card?

I figured my game would work, but I do have xp on my computer.
it's an emachines I got for free

also, some games kind of freeze up for a few seconds, how to I stop this?
