I changed back to English Ed.
But now next semester i'm signed up for a bunch of poli sci and history classes. And my advisor said I might as well use that to pursue a major, since I will have extra time anyway cause i'm gonna be here an extra semester.
So, what should I minor in? Poli sci or history?

Yeah really, teaching high school kids has to be the worst job in the world.
O_0
Are you sure you want to go in this direction?
And I'd go with History because I think it compliments your major better.
I say Poli Sci would be more advantageous if you're teaching in a catholic system, like I was stuck in.

They have a super high depression rate.
You guys are dicks.
If it's what you enjoy, all the power to you. People who pursue careers because society tells them it'll pay more or be more fulfilling are slaves to the system.
Do what you like and go after what you want.
Best of luck!

I'm just being abnormally hard on him because I think he needs more time to think about this. akudood;
He seems to be following the exact path that I took during my early days in college. I wanted to be a teacher too after my dream of becoming a doctor. Now I realize that was just an easy way out...
He still has so many years ahead of him. I just want him to make the best decision possible. myface;

Or he can go a semester or two and realize he either really enjoys it or come to terms that it might not be right. Teaching isn't an easy way out or anything.
Either way, now's the time to pursue any and all possible interests. If you like how something sounds and you have the means, go for it.
I agree, he should look into it.... But I think he should become undeclared and not commit to anything right now. Explore multiple horizons. giggle;
My advisor was such a penis to me about being undeclared
("I'm going to strangle you if you don't pick a major sometime next semester")

That's just because it made his job more difficult. He didn't have a rubric he could look at to easily advise you.

lol where do you go RUTGERS
Ok just kidding, I am changing back to Bio and that's final.
It has been tearing me apart inside that I quit just because it was hard, I couldn't stop thinking about it.
If I had to take chemistry for the rest of my LIFE it still wouldn't be as painful as this conflict in my mind.
Plus, I only have 1 more semester of gen chem, then orgo, which I hear is more memorization than math. And I can take Calc and physics over the summer so they are easier.
