Title: Name Pronunciation Oh Ten
Post by: Veal on November 13, 2010, 11:12:35 PM
Alright, enough is enough. Post how to properly pronounce your name so that we can end this cycle of mockery.

VEEL. Like the meat. Not "veil".

Unlike nearly every middle/high school English class in America, your classes probably teach about things like grammar and word roots and making your statements sound coherent giggle;

That wasn't my point, but I thought Japanese schools teach everyone English. I see English classes mentioned fairly often in anime.

English should be only about learning grammar, how to construct sentences and vocabulary.  It shouldn't try to be a literature class as well.  madood;

I generally assume that most details like that I see in anime are based on real-life Japan :(

I'd think that anime creators would, when making a generic realistic school setting, base it on real schools doodhuh;
