Don't know if there's a thread about this, but whatever.
So yeah, Limewire's pretty much gone now. For those who have it, you may as well uninstall it because it's pretty much a waste of space at this point.
limewire has always been a waste of space
only complete dumbfucks use limewire as a main way of getting music
"i just downloaded like 12 songs off limewire do you think i'm gonna get in trouble for this????! that's a lot of songs!!"
Old news is old
i actually have no idea what happened
so what happened
i used wimeliar from time to time, it was simple and effective. now i will have to find a new method for acquiring the odd song here and there. damn the lawyers, and fuck the record companies.
I saw someone installing limewire on a computer at the library the other day lol.
I think even using torrents is a little risky too. Stripping the audio from youtube or mediafire downloads is a much wiser choice. Although I normally like to buy a physical copy of my music since I'm weird like that.

In the same pit as Navigator now.
Not like we didn't see it coming though. It was bound to happen.

For those that don't know. Limewire basically lost a lawsuit and are pretty much being forced to shutdown. Apparently they didn't make enough of an effort to block copyrighted media or something.
Oh well, torrents are better anyway.
oh
no real loss there lol

Limewire had more spyware than music anyway. I can imagine how much credit card information you could get off of it by putting a keylogger inside of "SOULJA BOY TELLEM - CRANK DAT SUPERMAN" and waiting an hour.
I feel bad for anyone I see on facebook saying "limewire died, guess I'm using frostwire" or some other dumb P2P shit. God dammit, people are retarded.

They're not retarded, just under informed. I had no idea about torrents until I started spending a lot of time on the computer. Don't look down on other people just because you're a bigger nerd than them.
