Who do you talk to on IM? What is your favorite IM client? What is your favorite protocol?

I use IM almost exclusively for talking to that Shadowinfinity guy who occasionally posts on Boyah (usually to mock me though) since we're bros and Rawl if he's on and sometimes Hiro talks to me too <3

And I use pidgin and prefer Windows Live but most of you faggots use AIM so I am forced to talk to you with that

I use almost entirely msn. I like it a lot better than aim.

I have a secretive aim account for my rl friends that only 6 people have.

And I use msn to talk to various people I have met across the internet over the past couple years

I stick with Pidgin. I'm not quite sure of the differences between protocols for details like buddy icon size, chatroom support, filetransfer, voice/video support, etc., but I keep accounts enabled for AIM, MSN, Yahoo, and Google/XMPP. I guess I prefer Google Talk out of them.

My buddy list has... 3 Google, 3 MSN, 7 AIM, and 1 Yahoo entry. The AIM and Yahoo entries are all people from either Boyah or real life, while my Google and MSN buddies are all from other parts of the Internet.

I manage everything in trillian, and I use aim 95% of the time, and MSN the other 5%. The IRC client isn't great, but it's passable.

I could use Adium for everything, but really I only use it for AIM. Normally I hate AIM, but I really enjoy Adium's simple, sleek interface, so AIM is what you'll usually find me on. I do have MSN also, but I don't sign into that as often because I simply don't have as many still-relevant people on my MSN list.

I use Pidgin with the Facebook plugin, so I get Facebook chat for real people, AIM for my fellow Boyageans 5thgrade;

Yeah, 3 or 4 years ago I was on MSN a ton to chat with people from Nsider and stuff. And then for my friends from real life I used AIM.

I dropped everything and now hang around on Steam, which is just as good as an IM client anyways. Whenever I need MSN or AIM, I'll sign on Meebo. I got Skype, too, but eeeehhh.

I always end up doing that.

I use AIM pretty much exclusively except for when someone makes a special request for windows live.

like once a day hiro will start a conversation with me, and maybe DP, but i don't start any with anyone except maybe hensa if she's online, which is rare

i used to talk to jmv regularly but not anymore

I used to use Meebo for MSN, Facebook, 4 AIM names, Yahoo, Skype, and 2 Google ids. Also steam.

I stopped using meebo when I stopped talking to Snorkel on a regular basis, since he was the only one usually on AIM only, and  because Meebo video chat sucks and I was constantly signing into Gmail/MSN/Skype for video.

Nowadays I'm always on Skype, MSN, and Steam and usually have Gmail and Facebook tabs open.

Since I no longer have a woman I rarely talk on Skype and MSN. Steam is for my group of friends from high school. Gmail is mainly for two close friends I have that don't use Steam often, and Facebook is for minor friends/acquaintances.

I think applesauce should add me. I like people who enlighten me.

My laptop charger is borked so I haven't been on anything the last week other than Gmail and Facebook, which are easily accessible via ios.
