1:40 is where the song really becomes amazing to me. God, I love the whole soundtrack to the Kill Bill movies, but this song is just a cut above the rest to me.

Post some favorites of yours, too.

I love the spaghetti western kung fu vibe of the movie and the soundtrack is absolutely fucking perfect. Tarantino usually gets it all right. This song also made me buy an expensive bamboo pan flute.
It's the same way with Inglourious Bastards. Thank gods for morricone.

This is beautiful. James Horner is a fine composer.

The soundtrack for eternal sunshine is melancholic, subtle and sepia tinged. There's very little to it after considering the main theme and a few other lines that are repeated through different memories. And there's that piano tone too that sounds like the keys are heavily weighted.

Obligatory

In Bruges' soundtrack is pretty fucking brilliant as well. Simple yet surreal and really fits the tone of the film.

Suspiria, Profondo Russo, and the original Italian soundtrack for Dawn of the Dead, all by Goblin.

I have reason to assume most of Tangerine Dream's soundtracks (at least early ones) would be good but I haven't heard them.
