you're quite right actually. i like it as it is, though perhaps more subtle shift in content and texture, or just impression, could work too. i find the abstract ones a little flashy and devoid of other incorporated designs. i don't think it would be too difficult to find new images and see the outcome. i have some in mind, though i would have never bothered before to apply them for this.
just please keep the sailboat one, i love it so
