Title: music that you suddenly listen to again
Post by: sans culottes on November 15, 2009, 03:02:07 PM
Recently, I've been listening to a lot of Eminem. I got into him when I was ten and the Eminem Show was the first CD I personally owned. Being a white boy with a multitude of problems, a love for humor, and a love for rap music, he was my hero for the next few years. I hadn't really listened to him much, but suddenly I've been listening to him a lot. This is actually irrelevant to the new album, which I didn't listen to until last week. I can't believe I barely listened to him for the last three years.

Recently I got a sudden urge to listen to a whole bunch of Hollies tunes. Hadn't listened to them in over a year.

The other day I downloaded a bunch of music from the 90's. I also have been listening to Panic! At The Disco lately and I stopped listening to them for like a long while then decided to again.

I'm re-entering my Incubus cycle after not listening to them for most of 2009. They were my favorite band last year but I just got bored of them, now I'm back into them just as much after going on a happy hardcore bender.

The Chemical Brothers never get old, man!

Fatboy Slim, however, does.

I've been listening to a ton of pop-punk lately, bands like The Matches, A Day To Remember, Strung Out, AFI, Pour Habit, Alexisonfire, New Found Glory, Brand New, etc...

don't hate :(

I haven't heard about 93% of those, but I like New Found Glory.

Steal: I will not hate on anything except Alexisonfire, because a) I saw them and they sucked, b) I got spit on at said show, c) I got their album and it sucked

pop-punk is wonderful, but I dislike Alexisonfire with a great deal of passion.

Oh, their new album is awful, listen to Watch Out, or Crisis.

If it's better than getting spit on, it has a shot.

I like Alexisonfire, and it's hardly pop-punk. But City & Colour is infinitely better.

Which is what I've been listening to lately because of all the heartbreak and lost sleep around me.
