Title: Post Series Depression
Post by: Veal on November 14, 2009, 09:00:22 AM
I just finished Boy Meets World all the way through for the second time and I already feel a little dead inside. This also happened with Arrested Development, Harry Potter, and probably something else.

What about you?

OH YEAH Firefly was a big one. And then Serenity was a great movie but preeeeetty different from the series. In enough ways that I was a little disappointed.

I also felt a little sad after finishing Harry Potter. Not really so much because it's a great series, or anything, but more because I had just ended a tradition from my childhood. I got the first book when I was in fourth grade, and I loved it. And despite my tastes changing drastically over the years, for some reason I kept getting the Harry Potter books right when they came out and reading them immediately. It was weird - I just had to finish that old childhood story, for some reason.

After it was over, I suddenly felt like I had grown a lot older.

now watch The End of Evangelion, and then the Rebuild of Neon Genesis Evangelion

Eva is one of my favorite series, but its normal ending just doesn't really suffice because it only focuses on Shinji's ending rather than the entire ending. Paranoia Agent was fucking amazing.

I actually watched End of Evangelion today, and I must say that the movie ending gave me much more closure. Way more satisfying than "CONGRATULATIONS!!!"

I'm gonna get around to watching Rebuild one of these days. I still have Gundam 00 to watch.
