Windows using more resources because it's startup registry gets messed up as hell? If you leave windows running for a while and then use the internet, it tends to be quicker because the silly startup processes and built-up junk tend to slow it down. How new is your install?

I was actually reading a thing on the ubuntu website that if you have the two OSes on the same hard drive, the one you install first goes faster because it's located on the inner part of the disc, whereas the second is slower. However, usually folks install windows first and then ubuntu, which is far easier and makes windows slower. To install ubuntu first, unless you pre-made a viable partition for installation, is quite the bitch. So it's probably not that.

Also, why is your useragent a "linux," and not ubuntu? NVM, must be wine.
