At around 4PM EST, I noticed that I could hear the familiar tune of "Happy Birthday to You". Upon closer inspection, it seems to be coming from one of my neighbor's trash cans.
IT'S STILL FUCKING GOING OFF. It is 1AM. Do you have any fucking idea how annoying 9 hours of a beeping Happy Birthday can get? Closing my windows isn't enough to block out the sound. I had no idea that a card can be loud enough for that.
I don't think my neighbors speak English and I'm not prepared to go through their trash to disable the card. How long do the batteries on these monstrosities last? How the hell can I get someone to do something about this?
By the end of this, I fear I'll never want to hear this song again.
i used to have a little keyboard that would beep if you left it on for too long and some nights i accidentally left it on while i was trying to sleep
n_u Those things go on forever.
When I was a wee babby, I had this toy train that made the most godawful ATTENTION ATTENTION WOO WOOO over and over, would not turn off by itself or manually and had a ridiculous battery life.
Earlier this year I tossed it, thinking that there's no way it would still work.
A few hours later:
ATTENTION ATTENTION WOO WOOO
One week later:
ATTENTION ATTENTION WOO WOOO
A few days after that, when it was being picked up by the garbage collectors:
ATTENTION ATTENTION WOO WOOO
