Bout 2 hours for tests and an hour for quizzes
Depends on what subject
Like with a language I will spend 4+ hours studying but with something like biology maybe an hour at most if any at all
depends on the material, if it's something completely unknown to me (like chemistry or advanced math or something), and I don't know it well enough from lectures/class, it rarely takes me more than an hour to get it all in my head.
other things like history and things related to books/words I can just skim through and process as I'm reading it (hooray right-brained thinking), so 5-10 minutes beforehand is adequate
If I'm not sure if I'll pass, I'll study for like an hour maybe.
I almost never study.
If it's something I'm not great with (math related courses, languages), 1-2 hours.
If it's something like on a book we read, stuff that I understand easily, etc., 15 minutes at most.
The only time I study is when I'm walking to take the test I'm studying for. ;-;
If it's something like quarter finals (yay I have less this year) then I study for an hour or two.
I never study. Studying makes me do worse.
Wait no, if it's a book I'll re-read it via Sparknotes. But that's it.
I never study seriously at all ever.
Sometimes, I study for like no more than five minutes at the beginning of the class period just before the teacher hands out the tests, but that's it.
Just about never
i'll flip though notebooks and whatnot for two seconds, lose patience, and move on to something else
I don't think I've ever properly studied (maybe I'll look over something a few minutes before a test), but I think I'll have to learn how to do so this year. myface;
I just wait at the first 5 minutes of class and associate terms with feelings and imagery as much as possible to remember it easily.
It works, for most of the time anyways, but I can't do this now since I have to read 300 pages of material and I can't really do much to bypass it.
Um, depends. I'm studying for my music test the 40 minutes before class, but then I spend maybe 20 minutes each day 2 days in advance, and then 20 minutes day of, studying for math or physics tests. Gotta be prepared.

For an essay due Wednesday, I try to brainstorm Thursday, gather points / outline Friday, write over the weekend, and proof if I feel like it over the next two days. Most of my papers are due Wednesdays. Often though, I spend 2 nights before outlining and brainstorming, and then the night of finishing the writing and proofing. It's not a bad system, but I prefer to pace myself.
Usually around 15 minutes at most.
I don't.
I'm scared to ask, but whatever. It gives me one more opportunity to post in those chat-thread-less situation.
So... what's the difference between a quiz and a test?

tests are usually worth more points and are harder.
Ah, right. We call them both tests. Quizzes are formative tests and tests are summative tests.
Anyway, not much. I almost don't study at all for quizzes, as they're usually given at the end of the class right after we've seen the theory.
As for tests, depends. Most of the tests I've had to do before were actually essays, so there wasn't much studying to do for that. But for theoretical, "by heart" stuff, I don't know... maybe one hour.
I don't really study for quizzes, and my only tests really are midterms and finals. I'll usually study 2-3 hours for those

For an essay due Wednesday, I brainstorm Tuesday night, start writing Wednesday morning, and usually finish around the time class starts
Not that long, maybe an hour the night before and an hour before the actual test if I have time to do so.
today in chemistry i studied for today's test by looking over the notes in the first 5 minutes of class girl;

we actually spent 80 minutes in the class, but we were only allowed 40 minutes for the test myface;
the hell is "studying"
I really don't 'study' for most tests or quizzes. I did the study guides for US history, but that's because it was easy and I did it most of them from my memory, plus getting an extra ten points on the tests was worth it. n_u
I'll probably do that for government too, since I have the same teacher.
i dont study at all, or take notes
for the last apush and math tests i got only one wrong on each
so cool
I don't take notes nor study, and I do extremely well.
This year, however, I'm going to try to study much more often, often reading ahead of the class, so I can do much better on the examinations and get a 100+ average. If I can get a 96 consistently without studying, I can get a 100+ with studying.
I'm going to actually read the Physics book, an APUSH book for my US History honors class, read the AP Biology textbook, and I'm independently studying AP Psychology and AP Environmental Science so I can take the tests.
never. i didn't even study for my ACT, which is the most important test i've ever taken lol.
I don't. I never got why people spent hours studying for something and they don't get any better grades. hocuspocus;
I don't study.
I only study for exams. Everything else I just wing it and hope I remember everything we learned. Otherwise I'll complete the review and consider that studying.

What was the test over? baddood;
Rarely.
Either I suck at studying or my mind just doesn't like remembering anything useful when it needs to.

history of the atomic model, average atomic mass, radiation, half-life, really basic crap
We have an essay due Friday in English, an essay test on Tuesday and a test on Wednesday in French, and I'm outlining the English this weekend and studying a bit. I take it sequetially, take it slow, so I don't have to freak out ever.
Cause freaking out is not good for my health.
I don't study because I have somewhat of a photographic memory.
