Judging by how extremely active the chat threads are, I'd think that you all would actually use chatrooms at least occasionally.
AIM chats are the only boyah chatrooms I've seen which ever have more than like 4 people on at a time, but even then, those are only made like once every couple months as far as I know.
Kaz made a boyah IRC room (irc.chatspike.net #dhitboyay) like a month ago, but him, me, and ME86 were the only people who were like ever there. I think Hime, famy, and JMV each joined only a couple times as well. What activity that room had died completely about two weeks ago.
They drain activity from Boyah. And yes, the only person [lol] at the IRC channel worth talking to is Cookies. akudood;

Pixie?
Princess Hime or whatever other names she's used.
If there was a link to the IRC from the forums I bet a lot more people would go there. That's how it worked (works? are they still around?) at NSFCD. But then again, look at all the activity they have.
Anyway, I wouldn't use it, even this week.

Joseph being so uninterested in Princess Princess, what is this? huhdoodame;

Their forums actually don't have any activity, really. #nsider is way more active than the forums and I'm pretty sure it has more to do with the fact that about 10 users are
always there that #nsider manages to stay really active.
also, i think an awful lot of people here don't have IRC clients so yeah

I'm not even sure what that is. maps;
I couldn't get IRC to work, so I just stick to making boyah AIM chats every so often

A program which is able to connect to IRC. Like how the program you download from AIM's site is considered an AIM client, a program which lets you join IRC rooms is an IRC client.
Anyone here who uses Pidgin or Adium has one, not to mention there are websites that have web-based IRC like mibbit and the sites hosting pjirc applets.

IRC is so much better, seriously.

Why
Because you can't use bots, change nicks, have operators, etc. in AIM chats.

Actually, you can use bots in AIM chats. It's just that AIM bots aren't as easy to make nor as popular.
I don't see the ability to change nicks as being important. If anything, it can sometimes be annoying because impersonation is easy.
Operators are really nice to have in a room where they're actually useful. In the boyah aim chats I've seen, there really wasn't a need for ops most of the time.
Something about IRC I see as more important is that it has a focus on keeping a room to a specific name, while AIM chats are usually made with randomized or frequently altered names and tend to be almost invite-only. If somebody were to want to join an IRC room, they could always go to the same server and room name, while with AIM it usually involves asking somebody to invite them.
um i was just naming things in general that are cooler about IRC but okay
