I told one of my friends I have Spanish II and he responded like "WHAT?! REALLY?! HOW?!"
I don't think it's such a big deal. My class also has about 4 or 5 other freshmen doodhuh;

About 90% of my grade who were/are in Spanish took Spanish II as a Freshman. Most of them now (Sophomore year) are in Spanish III Honors. I don't know how it is everywhere else, but the middle school most of us went to had Spanish in 7th and 8th grade, so that's no doubt why.
No, the II language classes were all freshmen at my school
Um no doodthing;
Your friends are just dumb.
My roommate is taking Spanish 5. Yes, he's a freshman.
No.
Where I am, Spanish I is a two year course in middle school and one year in high school. I prefered slacking off in an art or theatre class instead, and I didn't take Spanish I 'til I was a sophomore. Now I'm one of three juniors in my Spanish II class. I can't distinguish freshmen from sophomores.
i took it as a sophomore
