I'm not sure how many other Boyagers are engaged in a life-long quest for the perfect writing utensil, but I have found one of the best contenders yet: the Sharpie Pen.
(http://cdn.dickblick.com/items/218/81/21881-2020-3ww-l.jpg)
As you might notice, it is in typical pen format (being slim and with a cap), but shares the usual Sharpie felt tip. What makes it a pen and not a re-branded fine point Sharpie, though, is that there's a different ink in there that doesn't bleed through paper and is incredibly smooth.
I like the felt tip because it has no bias for directions (which, to be fair, is not an issue on most ballpoints but comes into consideration with fountain nibs since I'm left-handed), does not seem to be overly dry or wet, and dispenses a very pleasing semi-dark ink that's not deep black like other sharpies, but more of a dark grey.
After some preliminary writing test (I just discovered these today) I can't pick out anything wrong; the only detractor at this point would be if the ink runs out extremely fast. Either way, these will now be a reliable backup to my cartridge-fill Sheaffer fountain pens (which I still think are the best pens).
Does the writing show up thick?
Draw us some pictures.

No, look at the point. It writes about the same thickness as a 10-cent Bic.
6 bucks myface;
In 7th grade I got in trouble for giving a girl sharpies and superglue.
She inhaled them and passed out in the elevator.
I bought one of those for school, and I didn't get the chance to use it. I let someone borrow it, and then when I asked for it back they said someone stole it from them. akudood;

You let someone borrow such a marvelous tool before you used it yourself?
You deserved it akudood;

Actually what happened was I was using as a prop for a video we were filming, and then I had to leave, and forgot they had it, but they were still filming and using it, so I didn't care. Later that day I asked for it back, and they said one of the people they interviewed in the video stole the pen. akudood;
I got a 3-pack, one for me, and one for each of my sisters. I wonder if one of them is lying around somewhere... akudood;
And the best pencil:

The Papermate Sharpwriter. Amazing mechanical pencil that looks like a pencil. Has a shock absorber, and an eraser that actually works.

These used to be the best pencils before they became flimsy pieces of shit.
also mechanical pencils suck.
I like Bic .5mm cheap-shit mechanical pencils:

I can use any mechanical pencil just fine. I also am always losing pens/pencils so I don't want that are too expensive cause on average I keep pencils for about a week.
I also hate writing with pens
i love those gel pens but damn when i'm writing cursive (most of the time) they get so messy and you can't read it
I've used those Sharpie pens. My mom had one that had a small sharpie felt tip on one end and a Sharpie pen tip on the other. It was awesome.
I won't use anything but ballpoints, but I thought having a permanent ink pen would be a little ridiculous. I'll give them a shot, though.
I liked this thread better when I thought it said Sharpie Penis.

it's completely different ink than regular sharpies, and regular sharpie ink isn't very permanent anyway
i bought some today
HOLY SHIT THEY'RE ORGASMIC
My sister said she would give me hers because it was too dry and she hated it
I can't seem to figure it out.
Should I use these for the rest of the yearâ,”or Sharpwriters?
