Idk why but when I was little, I was deathly afraid of that tone that goes off after a few moments when the telephone is off the hook. And the woman's voice that said "please hang up and try your call again". It was horrifying.
looking up the stairs when it was dark up there and there was nobody up there
lol why is this in art discussion
It's not anymore.
Also, when I was really little, this plush Mickey doll used to scare the shit out of me. It looked oddly different at night.
I was scared of that too.
I was also scared that there was a murderer underneath my bed. I was never afraid of monsters. Just people that would come out and kill me with a knife.
Seagulls. awdood;
Remember in that Casper movie when the lady antagonist falls off a cliff and becomes a giant ghost with a huge shadow looming over the guy antagonist? And I think she laughed diabolically too.
Damn, that scared me. O_0
Oh, and Hexadecimal in Reboot. Most notably at the end of that one episode where she gets a hold of MS Paint. O_0
I was afraid that if I didn't go to bed that the sun would never rise for me and I would be stuck in Night forever.

Dogs, and I still fucking hate dogs
We had this computer game called JumpStart First Grade, and there was a game where you'd put ingredients into an oven. If you put in the wrong ingredient, the character in the game would say, "Oh no! The glop monster!" and this pile of puke would come out of the oven and go like "BLARARABLARG". I would run away whenever that happened.
Also, the weird little bumpers that they played on Nickelodeon before a show came on.

When I was about four or five, I'd ask my dad to act like a zombie to scare me. I thought it was funny at first, but then I would get scared and he'd stop. But one time, he didn't and I thought he turned into a zombie. ;-;

when i wouldn't go to sleep my parents would say if I didn't the boogeyman would come get me, and some nights when I guess not trying to sleep when a plane would go overhead theyd say it was the boogeyman coming and it would scare me and i run to bed although i don't remember it so clearly anymore.
me and my friend would play on this old casio keyboard and it had these settings to play like ambient backround noises, like one was gunshots and horses galloping but one was like aliens and one was like a really eerie forrest and so we would hit the button and it would turn on the alien or forrest sounds and we would run away from the keyboard scared and either ask someone to turn it off for us or bare through the horrible noises for about 30 seconds.

When I was about eight, I saw this little documentary about poison and I was scared of everything that I touched. With the mindset that EVERYTHING I TOUCH IS POISONOUS. I was such a germophobic, washing my hands everytime.
When I look back at it, I just laugh.

THIS! Sometimes it's still in the back of my mind.
BUT my parents used to watch those police shows about missing kids and like whatever. They watched these when I was trying to sleep and I was always afraid to walk without an adult for the longest time cause I didn't want to get kid napped.
