Yes, the idea of pre-distressed/worn designer jeans is ridiculous.
However I'll happily argue with anyone who wishes to speak against the quality of ACTUAL nice $300-400 jeans, because they really are unbelievably comfortable, assuming you like fitted clothes.

I've found jeans that are comfortable and are less than $100. akudood;
I only buy jeans if they're less than $20 akudood;
so when i first met a guy who pays $300 per pair for slightly bluer jeans i was pretty much blown away

Those jeans do not cost the company making them anywhere near $300-400 a pair. As such, whatever the features and the perceived sensation which they cause on our bodies, there is still no objective reason to shell out that much for an affect which (for me personally) can be attained in much more frugal ways.
Yeah it probably doesn't cost them $400 or anywhere near that, but there's no arguing that handmade jeans are nicer than Levis cranked out of machines.
Personally I don't buy extremely expensive pants either, the most I'll pay for jeans is $200, but if I was rich and/or a woman (since women's clothes are nicer and more expensive) I'd probably pay more.

Yeah I'd probably do the same, but I'm not particularly picky when it comes to clothes. Also, I come from a reality where paying $200 for jeans and saying 'if I was rich' causes a doodthing; moment.
I've had a pair of pants that cost $40 for three years now. Granted, they don't fit anymore...(surprisingly, they are too big hocuspocus; )
That being the case, I see no reason to spend anymore than $40-$100 on pants.
$400 can get me an entire wardrobe.
I could get so many things for $400
more clothes than I would care to wear.

Ed Hardy is so lame. You see the most douchebaggyest people wearing it. Then when you like tell them that it's ridiculous that they would purchase a T-Shirt with shitty tattoo designs on it they go on a rant about how you obviously can't afford and that's why you're jealous about it. WTF.

but i don't usually buy things if they're not "on sale" so I bought them all for 30 except for two which i bought for regular price (60 and 70)
i find that there is a huge difference between these shirts and the cheaper knock-offs—that those feel like shit and these don't

why buy clothes when you could spend the money on video games

yes jesus christ no one on boyah has ever even put on a nice piece of clothing I think
it's a luxury worth having
But it's also a waste of money.
Clothes are just there so that you're not running around naked. Who actually pays attention to how their clothes feel when they're going around doing whatever?
Uh, not really. I've worn nice clothes before, and they are nice i guess. But i really don't think they're worth that much extra money; it won't really make me a happier person, I'll just have spent for money that is hard to come by. Anyways it seems like you two are sitting pretty baddood;

Well to a guy like me a shirt is a shirt, unless if I'm trying to wear something I bought 5+ years ago. Then it's a problem because it's tiny, not because it doesn't "feel" good.
But anyway it doesn't matter, it's your money. I just think dishing out extra money for a shirt that you think feels nicer is a waste of cash.
also out of curiosity are you rich? because that would explain many, many things.

It's not about them being expensive which makes them good, it's the quality that the clothing was woven and the material used that makes good clothes. Yes, some shirts and pants are expensive for no reason, but that's not what we're talking about.

I'm not advocating wearing expensive clothes for the sake of wearing expensive clothes. Ed Hardy and pointlessly expensive designer jeans is bullshit.
I'm talking about the difference between cheap shirts and more expensive ones that are of much higher quality. This isn't about brand names.
bassir im cool with your custom fit clothes because...they're custom fit. so theyre supposed to be perfect. and as a result of being perfect they cost more.
my main issue is people who, like hiro said, pay $300 for jeans just because the tag says "these jeans and comfy and they make your penis grow". because jeans dont do that, and they only find it comfy because it told them it's comfy. yet, like hiro said, theyre humongous tools and they buy these clothes anyway. why? if you buy 4 pairs of $300 jeans, when you could've gotten them for $40 each, then that's $1040 of wasted money. you could've (almost) bought this (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9251132&type=product&id=1218068508559).
also clothes only define your social class. it doesn't really define "who you are", it just throws you into a stereotype. like, a nigga. or a prep. or a fag. or a rich kid. or a smelly fat kid. or whatever.
anyway enough of this clothy banter.
