Let's compare core processing units. My MacBook Pro has a 2.16ghz Core Duo (no, not Core 2), and it is not amazing.
My iMac has a 3.06ghz Core 2 Duo and it gets shit done pretty good.
Soon I will be rolling with a Core i7 920 clocked up to about 3.8ghz. That's 3.8ghz on four physical cores / eight cores as far as the computer is concerned, with 4.8 GT/s.
2.2GHz Core 2 Duo
2.1GHZ AMD Phenom 8450 Triple-Core Processor, apparently.

Triple cores are weird and the only other thing I know of that has that is the Xbox 360's processor.
3.01 GHz
Pentium 4 with hyper-threading technology
2005 ho! THE POWER OF GOD
2.00GHz Core 2 Duo
It's...not amazing, but it gets the job done well enough. It's better than my old desktop, at the very least.
3.0 GHz Core 2 Duo
Core 2 Duo E8500, Stock clocked at 3.16 Ghz, I have it OC'd to 3.6 Ghz and it runs like a champ.

It gets the job done. =\
i've got a pentium 4 with hyper-threading technology overclocked to 3.4
then i've got a pentium D at 3.20 i believe. i'm waiting to use it until i get a new motherboard, which i need desperately
then there's the laptop i'm using right now which has a pentium dual core t3400 at 2.17

That's great by my standards.
It's like, the exact CPU I want when I look up computer parts.
Mine is Intel Celeron D, single-core, 2.53GHz saddood;

What the fuck.
That's a lot better than my old Celeron.
I had a Celerom M (or was it D, I can't remember). Single-core 1.6GHz.
I'm surprised I was even able to run Vista on it for a short while.
A piece of shit.
