Is it really worth renting when you can just buy the whole fucking thing for a little more?

No, don't buy it or rent it, it will probably ruin your experience in AC2.

I bought Assassin's Creed at $20 and did not even finish it past the third animus memory block, because it is so damn repetitive.

Yes, it is very repetitive, but everyone enjoys it. I loved the battling, I wonder if they fixed the repetition in the second one?
