I'm not graduating until the 22nd. So yeah. Whole month left.
But I have senior trip on friday and another field trip June 10 and exams start the 15th. So it's not too bad, really. I also am getting some sort of an award on June 2 and some other sort of an award (scholarships, yay) on the 17th or something.
I have no idea how I'm going to afford my school next year ;___;

It's not much of a trip. We go to Holiday Hill for a day. It's basically just like a nice place that has a lot of free food, swimming, dj's, kayaking, tennis courts, that kind of thing. I'm really only going because it's free and I like free things. We also have a senior picnic, but I don't -think- it's on a school day, I think that's a saturday. I don't remember though.

...that's strange. We don't have academic letters. I had my varsity letter from tack sophomore year, but it's probably lost in my room somewhere. I quit halfway through the next season so it didn't matter.
Nah, it's probably just some art award. That's what it usually is. I'm the top as far as computer art goes in my school, which says a lot more about my school than it does about me. It's either that or video or for my poetry.
On second thought, it probably is video.

yeah I read it. there's a HUGE difference between taking a year off to "work" and taking a year off to "work and party and such."
You're either serious about going to college or you're not. You either want to go or you don't. You act like you want to go, but you don't seem serious about it at all. It pisses me off.
If you want to go at least keep that goal and mind and put actual effort into making money throughout this next year. Don't take it off as a year of relaxation away from school, because you won't go back.
I get so worked up over this because I don't want to go and I'm being forced into it. I'm not trying to be mean but I sincerely think taking a year off is an idiotic decision for anyone who actually wants to go to college.

I don't have a dime saved up and am going to a school that's costing me 50K a year. Didn't stop me.
i admit that's a decent reason for taking a year off, but it generally doesn't work well unless your job is amazing. And if your job is amazing, you'll probably realize by the end of the year that college isn't all it's cracked up to be and just stick with your job.
Well I am actually serious about college believe it or not. I wanna be something some day. I am pretty into the whole idea of going to school and actually doing the work to get me somewhere. I'm guna take a business program of some sort and I will end up doing two paid co-ops to help me pay off student loans. I am gunna be working fulltime this summer and all next year. But that isn't going to stop me from partying.

My passion is in a skill that doesn't require a college degree. i could easily make enuogh money to live off of from it. I wouldn't be rich, but I'f be able to live a decent life.
I feel like I'm going to spend 200,000 going to college only to end up doing what I wanted to do in the first place. Then I WON'T be able to afford it because I'll be paying off $100,000 in student loans.
You don't need a college degree to be successful.
What about going to college for wanting to learn saddood;
I graduate this Friday.
It'd be better to go to school instead of taking a year off and working, seeing as how the economy is now I don't think anyone who doesn't have a job yet will get one easily. Go to school first then if the economy problem gets better try and get a job then. If you don't have enough money for the college you want to go to get student loans, look at the college for financial aid, hell take the SAT/ACT again so you can get a score on it to be able to get a scholarship.
I took this ongoing year off from school so I could work to pay for my next three years of Cegep. In the last 9 months, 2 months and a half were spent working. n_u
6 of those months were spent looking for a job. akudood;
Of course a lot of that time was also spent leisurely, you can only do so much in a day that's related to finding yourself a job, but yeah, in those 6 months I was searching pretty actively.
