Can't figure this out.
Find f(x) if f(x) divided by x + 4 = 2x + 3 + -7/x + 4
I know that you need to do synthetic division, and I know that -7 is the remainder. Other than that, I'm stumped.
This is Algebra II.
plzhalpthnx
We did synthetic division earlier in the year, but i forgot.
you worded this weird
are there any parenthesis you forgot

No. Trying to find the main equation.
OMG LOL
f(x)/(x+4)=2x+3-7/(x+4)
solve for f(x)
i got 2x^2+11x+5
i dunno if this is correct baddood;

that's right. how'd you get that?
I suck at Algebra 2 ;-;

you do (x+4)(2x+3-7/(x+4))
because if dividing by x+4 gets you 2x+3-7/(x+4) then multiplying by x+4 would get you back to where you started
I got it. WHOO that feels good.
Thanks, Tomboh, and on a smaller scale, Clucky. wub;

NEXT PROBLEM.

i integrated it and got 100e
sqrt(x+4) + c, now what?

calculus is unnecessary for this problem
felt how can you say you're in AP Calculus if you can't even do simple Algebra

Because the crap you're doing in the first post is crap you'll never need to know again. Forget it as soon as you can so you can store other useless things in your noggin.
