You should just because the prizes are fantastic. And quite frankly, I don't think too many people are entering it.

I already started a bit but then saw this. http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/312931.html
I still might finish it just for fun even though I know I most likely won't win.

the graphic work is good but the video itself really isn't all too interesting. I thought it had a good start but something about the whole concept just seemed pretty lame to me.
Plus remember there are two categories: Life Imitating Goo and Goo Imitating Life.
I would have done stop-motion and some other cool stuff, probably. :(
I was going to win the MVP of my baseball league's all star game easily, but they disqualified me because my dad was a coach and they didn't want it to look like favoritism
My dad was supposed to come back from Iraq, then they extended him 2 weeks before he was set to return
Then the same thing happened again. He finally got back, but much later than expected
at least I can still participate bassir;
Why would anyone care about some dumb contest anyway. The chance of some random girl from Connecticut winning would have been extremely slim anyway. The way I see it, you are saving yourself from some future disappointment.
You can always create a submission, have a boyager not from those states send it in, then send you the prize(s). But that's too much work for some petty gifts (trip to E3 [big whoop], a TV, DSi [which you probably have], and some nintendo points, but not a damn thing is worth anything on the VC).

Why do you act like you know things when you don't?
First of all, it's not a sweepstakes, it's a contest. It's not random. I
would have a chance of winning. I have access to amazing equipment and I've been taking video classes for 3 years. I'm really not that bad at it. In fact, I'm getting at least 2 scholarships for it. I cared about the contest because it looked like fun and the prizes available are incredible. I don't own a personal TV, a DSi, or any Nintendo points. Plus I would love a trip to
anywhere, let alone E3.
So what are the odds that some random girl from Connecticut is going to win? Depends on how good my work is.
Don't be a fucking dumbass. We have somewhat similar interests and I would probably love talking to you if you weren't constantly trying to make yourself seem cooler by lying and putting people and things down. It's irritating as fuck.

Like your shitty how-to video?

No, not like my shitty how-to video.
That was something I made in 3 hours, 3 weeks late, under constant pressure. It just happens to be the only video-game related video I ever made for school, so I uploaded it.
Plus I was using a video camera that's actually lower-quality than my digital camera.
I'm going to be majoring in Radio-TV in college, so I'll get lots of experience with video production.
Do it anyway and just put it on Gametrailer's Usermovies thing. Maybe you will get noticed and they will make an exception. If not, it will be fun creating it anyway.

Whatever reason they aren't including these states is legal, so it's not like they're going to make an exception because a video is good. And there are other things I'd rather make a video for if it's for no benefit but my enjoyment.
