My band directors are amazingly fucking stupid. They promised they would help me play trumpet after Christmas Break, and after christmas break they basically tell me to go fuck myself and they teach two flute players and a fucking clarinet player. Like what the fuck? I'm a very experienced brass player who can easily pick up and play a Trumpet. I have no idea what the fuck they are thinking. And then they fucking tell me I'm complaining whenever I ask them why they won't fucking teach me trumpet.
Imagine that. n_u
that's dismally vague saddood;

Reading Treble Clef sucks. Reading it for Trumpet sucks more.
Otherwise it's the exact same fingerings as Baritone (which I also play).

You could try reading some baritone T.C. stuff if that would help any.

I can read treble clef... kinda. I just look at thirds from the b line. But Trumpet music goes off of sharps instead of flats for the first scales and most stuff is a couple ledger lines below the staff.

thanks to choir, i can read and do solfeggio for both ;)
but for instruments (except piano of course), i prefer treble clef, because its the first one i learned
I play percussion, so I've done treble and bass clef since I've had to play both bells and timpani. There isn't a lot of different notes in timpani music, so it works out that I'm bad at reading bass clef, but I've had to get pretty good at reading treble for bells, but that wasn't such a big deal since I used to play clarinet. It didn't take long for me to start to pick up the notes again.
