why the hell is Google on 2.0 already?

Shouldn't it be like 1.1 or something, or do they not believe in minor versions?

It's supposed to be faster and there's custom scripts (ie greasemonkey)
Other than that I'm not sure.
Really seems more like a 1.5

They added the ability to scroll through a page by clicking the scroll wheel like most Windows programmes, it's faster at loading Javascript I believe and if you drag a tab to the right of the window until you see a little book icon you can use side-by-side view comparison mode.  http://chrome.blogspot.com/

So what is the difference between Firefox and Chrome?
everything

Firefox: Made by Mozilla
Chrome: Made by Google

Firefox: Uses the Gecko layout engine.
Chrome: Uses the Webkit layout engine

Firefox: Uses Spidermonkey (Tracemonkey sometime this year, might be in current builds.) javascript engine
Chrome: Users the V8 javascript Engine.

chrome uses sandboxes and such and runs each tab in its own process. firefox doesn't. etc.

What does this mean? Like each tab is ran like a separate window would be?

Yeah. and chrome doesn't have extensions so It's less customizable. But it is much more intuitive and fast.
