Title: The "Where The Wild Things Are" Trailer
Post by: KonohaShinobi on March 25, 2009, 05:39:27 PM
http://www.apple.com/trailers/wb/wherethewildthingsare/
Only link I found of it, requires a Quicktime download (most of you macfags have it anyway)

I saw the "Where The Wild Things Are" trailer on Ellen of all places and it looked...interesting.
I read the book a loooooooooooong time ago, I barely remember what the book was about, but I do remember the creatures and the little kid, and based on that, it actually looks pretty good. It's directed by Spike Jonze, and I hear "Being John Malkovich" is good, so I guess the project is in good hands.

It looks pretty good, considering it is an adaptation that could have easily been turned to shit.

Also, ARCADE FIRE YES!

QuoteMaurice Sendakââ,¬â,,¢s classic book Where the Wild Things Are comes to the big screen in an adventure tale for every generation.
Yeah I think it will end up good for adults and children in a really classy way, I'm sure of it.

If not then I will die

Oh. my. god.
That trailer was perfect, the best trailer I've ever seen.
If something as short as that can be that good then I'm sure it will be my favorite movie this year.
Hell it has a good chance of being better than Up.

I like the Giving Tree more than Where The Wild Things Are and I have the best copy. That's a great book.

The book was okay. I mean, I never thought anything special of it.

But the movie looks great.

But part of me doesn't want to like it because everyone will. What's wrong with me?

The book was good. It's a classic, but not my favorite.
The movie looks spectacular.
You know, I would be just fine if everyone fell in love with this movie.

Damn, now I want that wolf suit and crown.

I know a person who would just look so fucking adorable with a wolf suit and crown.

In fact, he reminds me of that boy in the story.  happydood;

I'm going to be an ass here and say that I didn't find the trailer particularly interesting at all, nor do I find the concept of making this book into a movie interesting at all.

If the movie turns out to be good, when whoop de doo.

And Hiro, really, settle down.

but that's different, you really enjoy the idea of being indie. I'm talking about situations with kids who don't brush their hair and don't go to any shoes bigger than those at the trunkscape/modified/phix and so on

yeah because of dipshits are being indie than it's not being indie anymore because being indie is only cool when you're the only indie person because you're not a dipshit and it's so indie to be the only one doing something and if someone else does it that's just not right man
