Title: recommend me bands
Post by: superclucky on March 14, 2009, 02:58:14 PM
I want to feel the experience I felt when I listened to Portishead and Bat for lashes. ;______;

I want experimental/glitch/electronica

if my synesthesethic description works i want something that feels like icy wind blowing at you with an overwhelming amount of navy blue and black with hints of underlying depression  cjlubdoods;

if that even helps http://www.last.fm/user/SuperClucky  cjlubdoods;

I realized that I want something that relates to childhood, in a way similar how Mum and other Icelandic bands do. (Sigur Ros)

Music that remind me of it strongly affects me.  :(

Sigur Ros is so beautiful...
Well, here is an Icelandic artist you might like:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D7IT_m_ImzY

but you probably know her because of Mum and all anyways... She's really a favorite of mine.

she's really amazing.

and have you ever listened to Vashti Bunyan? I think I'm sort of just thinking childlike, not childhood and not that her music is juvenile or anything (it really isn't) it reminds me of children.

Vashti Bunyan sounds like a mellow-er version of school of seven bells kinda, espically on their half asleep song n____n
her songs sound like they're from the 60s  :3
