I want to get cremated and have my ashes thrown into the wind just to be on the safe side if we happen to still be conscious when we die.

Yes, that makes most sense then. You'd really be set if something like that were to occur. I wonder if your thoughts and feelings would be fragmented and the combined effort of every place you ended up.

No. That's just the human spirit hoping it can't really "die", a fools dream. We are no different than any other biological entity when it comes to expiring, no matter what we like to associate with ourselves.
