also, If you made great tasting cupcakes for people or a friend, I doubt they would care about how the frosting looks :3

those don't look to bad.
i use a frosting putter oner thing.
it's like a tube you squeeze or whatever and the frosting comes out.

If you're using a knife, just get a huge glob and slap it on. The warmth of the cupcake should make it easier to manage.
