So today I have heard many comments about the legacy of George W. Bush. Here are some that I heard:
"I did like our President. The one we had for 8 years. :)"
- So does that smile mean that George Bush brings back memories of when he kept our nation safe? You know, how you felt despite the invasions on civil liberties and false promises of security, and of course how he had no regard for human life in supporting wars that didn't need to happen.
"Same here. He kept our Nation safe and he loved the Lord. He may have messed up a few things but who are we to judge him?"
- He may have started an unjust war and sparked the hatred and prejudice of Islamic and Muslim people, but as long as he's not gay I guess we shouldn't judge him. Also, he loved the Lord! If you love the lord you can't be wrong! Oh, and nation isn't capitalized dumbass.
"I wish bush could run for another term. and we could lay the smack down on N. Korea and Iran."
- Awesome, dude! I love supporting our nation to be a militaristic country interested only in pushing around developing countries! While we're at it let's go kill the Islamic family down the street before they blow up our neighborhood!
Hey, sounds like my folks. I can't stand them anymore. :'(

This describes the opinions of the majority of people where I live. I live in a hick town that thinks it's a progressive modern town. LRH will argue against this.

My mom is so incredibly anti-Bush that it actually annoys me. Like, she'll find any opportunity to say "Bush sucks omg I love you Obama." I understand her sentiments completely, but she goes really overboard with it.

That's just a few miles south of where I live. It also can't be nearly as expensive as living anywhere in south California.

It's part of the Dallas/Forth Worth area, so it's very artsy and liberal.
It's nice in Irving because it's a business town. hocuspocus;

My father voted for Bush twice.
The rest of my family considers him terrible, just like Reagan, Nixon, Ford, and old Bush. thumbup;

I have to say, as much as I am an Obama supporter
The flat-out worshipping of him is fucking disgusting. Yesterday, I had people saying it was the best day of our lives, the biggest change our country will ever face, the most prominent historical moment in our lives, the day when america got better.
He hasn't even done anything yet! At least let him prove himself you dumb fuckers.
The sad thing is that even if he doesn't do much to help our country. people have already built Obama up so high that they'll see him as a change for the better, no matter what he does.
Well, maybe not if he blows up the white hosue or something.
I also live in CT, so that explains why I don't really get the "we love Bush" stuff

I only praise Obama because it pisses of the Republicans. I'm pretty sure that's why they made the commemorative plates, or at least why a good portion of people buy them.
