Ubuntu always gave me weird errors when scrolling and stuff. Desktop effects didn't work. I just rebooted and it seems that someone set the videocard to a PCI card (which is not installed) when it hould be on board. I just changed it and it works. doodella;
cool story bro
One of the suggestions I got from the Ubuntu forums when I was trying to make a partition for Windows was that I check my BIOS settings for errors or whatever. So, could you explain to me just how exactly I would do this?

For me it's holding down F1 when the computer is turning on. I've seen it as F8, F2, F10, or another button.
It should tell you when you are first booting.
