Title: Songbird
Post by: Hiro on December 06, 2008, 09:40:34 AM
http://getsongbird.com/

You should try it out. It's basically the Firefox of music players, mostly because it's based on Firefox.

I'm just now trying it out and it's pretty great. All kinds of little utilities and doodads you can put in. Last.fm is built in, web browser, it does torrents, etc.

I like it, except for the fact that if you have a large library it basically crashes every time you try to play anything.

And that its pretty laggy.

I have 88.26gbs

I'd use Songbird but it doesn't like lots of music. I don't listen to all of it but I've listened to most of it and why delete it if I have the room? I've deleted the music I can't stand and kept the music I like.

I actually like it quite a bit, I just can't stand it because it groups every artist with "The" in their name in the T's.

Also, it lags a bit, but since my library isn't as big as Reefer's or Nathan's its no where near as bad. doodthing;

If they fixed the sorting problem, it'd probably be my player of choice, I love all the little add-ons they have for it.

i'm not quite certain, but i think there might be copyright issues with reproducing lyrics, thus apple would probably have to negotiate some licensing in order to include something like that

small developers who aren't making a profit don't really care, but a massive corporation can't get away with that  akudood;
