Title: Good local bands/groups?
Post by: Pele on November 17, 2008, 06:35:11 PM
This group from the town I'm from (Dacav5) is becoming pretty big, and one of the guys from the group was on G's to Gents.

One of the guys is a huge guido though.

guido?

"Guido" (Gino in Canada) is a pejorative slang term for a younger working class, Italian-American or Italian-Canadian male from the urban Northeastern United States or urban Central Canada, most often New York and the surrounding area due to the large number of Italian-Americans living in the area. The Guido stereotype is often portrayed as humorously thuggish and overtly macho attitude and an unyielding pride in his Italian ancestry.

ANDREW JACKSON JIHAD, ya know
one of my favorite bands and they happen to live in Phoenix and perform here quite frequently

FRENCH QUARTER, pretty impressive but the kid is quite large and has this thing where he enjoys sitting RIGHT in front of me at the Trunkspace, blocking my view of the stage.

Yea their shit is really dope I have 2 cds which have since been misplaced. But yea, they're just really really unknown right now. They got one track on a sampler cd for the Grouch's record label, and then came out with one EP.
