I can't believe October is almost over already. Where the hell is the time going? These last couple years have been like a blur...I still feel like I was in high school yesterday. And yet 2008 is nearing its end.
I remember a time when I thought 2007, the year I graduated, was never going to arrive. I remember "There She Goes" being on every other commercial. I remember not owning a computer. I remember the Y2K scare. I remember giggling like a little schoolgirl at the nude scene in "Titanic." I remember getting Pokemon Red on my birthday and when catching Rattata wasn't annoying. I remember collecting Beanie Babies like mad. I remember Princess Diana's death and Elton John's updated version of "Candle in the Wind" about the incident. I remember O.J. Simpson being tried for murder. I remember Gak, Creepy Crawlers, Dr. Dreadful, Mr. Bucket, and Gator Golf. I remember wondering if Frieza could ever be defeated and if the Super Saiyan really existed. I remember watching the movie "Merlin" on a weekly basis. I remember stealing Playboys from my step-dad's room. I remember my first crush, which was a tomboy named Robin.
I remember a lot of things. Remembering is fun. What do you distinctly remember about your childhood, Boyah?
Remember driving across America for a family vacation listening to the Small Soldiers soundtrack, specifically Tom Sawyer by Rush.
I remember playing football with myself in the backyard all the time. I remember being a secret agent with my dog as my sidekick. I would make a voice for her so we could talk. I remember playing Power Rangers for the Genesis all the time. I remember riding my bike to my friends house every day. I remember going to the West Boulevard playground and playing tag the whole time.

I remember that movie, but I don't remember "Tom Sawyer" being in it.
SNES at my cousin's house when I was five. My house was flooded, so we stayed there for a few weeks. It felt like a few months. Now a few weeks goes by too fast. I remember being in school for 9/11, wondering why we couldn't go outside for recess. I'd save the 10 cents from my dollar for a Snapple to drink with my lunch, getting 50 cents a week, then spend the money on a small Lego set. Nintendo Power was the cool thing to borrow from the school liabrary. I was obsessed with Chao when I was 10. We used to get hermit crabs each year from our yearly trip to North Carolina.
I dunno. :(

I don't either, I just bought the soundtrack as a kid because I listened to it in stores or something. Whatever, that soundtrack was a big part of my life that year.
I watched The Brave Little Toaster last night. It was almost as awesome as I remembered it being.
Watching Doug and Family Matters every night before bed.
Me and my sister going out early Christmas morning and peeking in our presents. One year I got so excited it was a Super-van City.
Barbecues with my whole family at my grandparent's house.
Going to movies with my gramma and sister.
Playing N64. Oh god playing N64......Primarily Mario Kart, Banjo Tooie, Mario 64, OoT, Mario Party.
Going up-state to my grandparent's little vacation home and doing absolutely. nothing.
Swinging on my swing in my backyard while my parents were doing yardwork.
Preschool festivities.
etc.
i remember being born
I remember riding in the back seat of our car covered up with a blanket because the heater didn't work. It was dark and snowing. There were lots of Christmas lights and Elvis was singing Blue Christmas on the radio. I must of been 6 or 7 and I was so sad. I remember that feeling every Christmas and I don't know why.

The first time I went skiing, a ski got stuck in a cone, I flipped over and went down the rest of the hill on my face. goonish
I remember going up to Flagstaff with my siblings and my dad and playing in the snow, my grandma made really great food. I remember for Christmas when my dad bought us a Nintendo 64 and it was so exciting, Amanda taught me how to play Ocarina of Time. I remember visiting my mom in rehab and not really understanding what it was. I remember when my mom told me why she was in rehab. I remember when Erin found Agnes dead and I remember being too afraid to see that so I closed my eyes during the funeral. I remember going to California to stay with my mom and getting sunburnt but having a great time. I remember crying on the trampoline with Andrew. I remember running down my street to see my mom's car and how excited we all were.
