Title: Jobs?
Post by: The artist formally known on October 11, 2008, 02:07:11 AM
I'm working at a haunted corn field maze, it's pretty neat so far. Haven't worked an actual day yet so I'm not sure how good it will be. So far it is pretty professional. I just saw it in the newspaper and they have a lot of fliers and ads and stuff.

Although the pay is awful, $25 a night. (We work as "volunteers" so the pay is less then minimum wage but whatever, it's pretty fun for a job.)

I'm a doctor. I'll tell you more about it when I find more to tell.

A doctor at a haunted cornfield maze? Is that a joke? I don't get it.

I avoid jobs like the plague. I've never had a real job yet because working with people scares me and I'm so afraid I'll mess up.

:(

I work in a mail room.

Before this I've worked in a Baskin Robins, a grocery store, a barn being a ranch hand for a local horse breeder. I've also been a banquet waitress and a babysitter.

Unlike Kaz, I'm in search of jobs. Not only because I enjoy being active and getting some things done, but because I also need the money.
I've been working since the age of 13. Started out working as a food vendor with a vendor who traveled around southern Minnesota. That took a whole summer and it was pretty much agonizing, especially for my age. There were times when I had worked 70-80 hours a week.
About a week after that summer gig, I got a job at a local Chinese restaurant and have been working there ever since. Although I hate my job, it does give me something to do.

I'm constantly in search of a new job, though. :'(

I work at a dog kennel for $6.75 and hour so count your blessings.....

In the summer I film for AWS which is a skateboard company, and they paid me $3500 plus I got to keep one of the cameras which is like another $1000. So it was pretty nice...

We get the occasional nice guy, but most people are mean...

The nicest thing you can do for a telemarketer is hang up immediately.  It's far worse if we have to go through our entire script and then you hang up on us.  >.<

I hang up even before they can talk. baddood;

When a telemarketer calls here, there's some kind of audible delay before the line actually gets to their phone. It's hard to describe, but when it's a telemarketer, I can just tell.

"Hello... TOO LATE! *hangs up*"

It's pretty fun to get paid scaring people.

Also a couple of the girls are pretty cute. One of them pretty obviously likes me but shes a little weird. Pure white hair with long, 2 inch finger nails, with lots of makeup, pink blush and she wore leg warmers today.

I'm not even joking.

i would work at a scary place, that does sound fun

and i would love to be a telemarketer because you could just mess with people all day because no one really buys what they're selling lol

i've always wanted to work at:
Emagine movie theater
Library
Hillers Market
Quiznos
Pharmacy place (like a rite aid or something)
any place after hours
any place that doesnt have a lot of people show up
pet store
a big empty building with lots of space to do nothing
