If not, I'd try to find a way to get to my friends house two blocks away; her dad swears that he has everything we need in case of a zombie attack.

Me and my friends have it strategically planned out. Fuck you all.
In the event of a zombie invasion we will each gather all of the guns and ammunition in our households. Me and my five main friends all have at least 5 different firearms within the household.
We locate each other, and meet at an undisclosed location in the middle of town. We either gather in one vehicle, or go by foot. Depending on the situation. But we get into a group.
We bring along any other loved ones or go get others we may want to save.
Then we all head to the gun shop approximately 2 miles out of town to wait it out with nearly an infinite supply of guns and ammunition and quite a barricade.
If it came to the point where we're in need of food, I'd normally suggest hunting. But the risk of the animals being infected with whatever is going around is too great. So we'd most likely bring food along in the first place. Also, depending on the season, there are multiple cornfields no more than 100 yards away from the shop.

Become awesome by saving the lives of everyone who I care about. Which happens to be quite a few people.
And then we'd probably end up kicking ass.
Unless these zombies were powered by energy beings from another dimension, which the LHC was rude enough to open.
