I used to dislike them, but they've grown on me to the point where they're now one of my favorite bands. They're certainly a unique act. I love their incorporations of string arrangements into many of their songs.
A New World Record is their best album, and oh what an album it is. <3
Best songs: Telephone Line, Tightrope, Livin' Thing, Mr. Blue Sky, Rockaria!, Turn to Stone, Evil Woman, Roll Over Beethoven, Don't Bring Me Down

Turn to Stone rooooooocks.
Their problem on their double disc albums is that they should never ever be double disc. Ever. Then, after Time, all went to hell. >.<

Well, at least their 2006 single "Surrender" that's now on remastered New World Record albums is pretty cool.
I've been listening to a lot of ELO lately too.
THE MUSIC IS REVERSIBLE, BUT TIME IS NOT. TURN BACK, TURN BACK, TURN BACK!
They're pretty good. One of the only radio stations I listen to plays them exhaustively... Evil Woman is on my favorites playlist, and I like most of their other big hits.
