I prefer pens. They're much smoother and less noisy, plus no sharpening required. befuddlement
I'll usually only write with a pencil if I'm told to, if it's for a test or if I'm drawing something. Other than that I stick to pens. baddood;

I don't care really.
I use what I have.
But I seem to write better with pen.

I get a better stroke when I sharpen my own pencils. Otherwise I use pens. I think it's handier to erase your mistakes though. Much neater than scratching them out.

Yeah, I guess. However, with pencils, the bad outweighs the good, at least in my opinion. goowan

The mechanical pencils i bought > the pens i bought

They're really shitty pens... they don't write well

I use only mechanical pencils. Nothing else.

I mostly use pens because pencils aren't dark enough. You can't draw mustaches on people in your textbooks with a pencil.

I used to use those, but for some reason the ones I got always turned out to be shit. They would always go dry after a few minutes of writing and explode all over the place at a later time.

I don't really give a shit what I use. I have a terrible habit of chewing on pens to the point they explode, yet I still tend to use pens more.
Oh well.

in 4th grad kids used to tape pens and pencils together but no one could find a good name for them

I like to use pens, even though my handwriting probably looks better in pencil, mainly because it's easier to read.

I used to exclusively use a pencil until high school. Either I got lazy and didn't feel like going school shopping before freshman year or I just thought pens were more convenient for the serious writing I do in high school, but I ended up using pens.

I've been using the Staples XENO for about two years now, and they work beautifully. However, lately I've been wanting a pen that can entertain me or just looks cool... I want a syringe pen.

I only use pencils in math. Pens are much preferred.

I enjoy using pens, but most of my classes require the use of pencils.

So I use either or.

Either works for me, but when using a penil, it must be mechanical or very very sharp.  edumacate;

Agreed, dull pencils or thick mechanical pencil lead blows dicks. myface;

The only time I use pencil is for the tests that use the machine-scanned forms. Otherwise, I pretty much exclusively use pens.
Also there's a such thing as eraseable pens, though they're not the kind I use.
