A review that brings good hopes. http://www.acdc-bootlegs.com/news/articles/?id=222
I've never cared much for AC/DC after Back in Black. But from what I know of so far, the album looks like it'll be great. Finally, after quite awhile, I once again have good expectations for an album. Thoughts?
Oh god I almost shot myself. So boring.
Listen to how bland the drums sound (thats really all I look for in music)
Nothing I would ever be interested in but I hope their fans enjoy it.
Well, it's good...for an AC/DC song. And AC/DC is very far from being in my favorites. I still like them a little and will listen to a song or two by them every so often, but I don't like them enough to bother with this new album.

This is -exactly- what I expected in response.
AC/DC is clearly awful music because their drums are nothing special, and applying this logic, most rock songs are absolute shit.
Heard the song a little while ago. Nothing I really dig the vibe to. But it's alright I guess.
AC/DC shouldn't be remembered for their drum performances. Any song they had with Bon is pretty great. When Brian came, the sound started to get a little uneven. (with the exception of Back In Black and Fly On The Wall)
oh hey another album im not going to listen to cool
Wait, that wasn't highway to hell? wow, can't tell the difference

It was sarcastic point-proving.
It seriously is literally EXACTLY the same as highway to hell...listen to both, it's uncanny.

I don't really see the resemblence. You're probably asuming that because most AC/DC songs sound similar. Definitely one of the most consistent bands ever.

The drums are actually really good. Sure, the drums are simple, but the drummer has a really tight groove that becomes apparent when you listen to the records they did with other drummers.

Yeah, I don't see the problem either. I think reefer thinks that every drummer should be Neil Peart or something.

I hate when people only care about how skilled the musicians sound. Last year I was in a class with a kid who was a huge douchebag who wouldn't listen to any bands that weren't as show-offy as Racer X. He also tried to convince me that he could play YYZ on bass despite only having played the bass for three or four months. I spent most of that class daydreaming of amusing ways for him to die.

No kidding. So many of my favorite songs are so simple that I don't think reefy would even like them. And personally I never cared that much about how skilled you can tell a guitarist is or something like that. People say Jimi Hendrix is the best guitarist ever, yet I find myself not caring if he's the best or the worst. If the pieces are there, anyone with a mild amount of talent can make a great song, whether it's complicated or not.
Musical virtuosity, or any musical complexity at all, is not required to make good music. In fact, the simplest songs can change the ways people play music for years. Proof:
