"Photosynth is a software application from Microsoft Live Labs and the University of Washington that analyzes digital photographs to build a three-dimensional point cloud of a photographed object.[1] Pattern recognition components compare portions of images to create points, which are then compared to convert the image into a model."

"Photosynth installs two programs on your computer: a Web browser plug-in for viewing synths, and an application (called "Photosynth") for creating them. Clicking the Install Photosynth button below will install both of them. When it's done your computer will be ready for both viewing and creating synths."

What the hell are synths?

idk, I'm downloading it now and the site gives me an example where when it's done downloading I click on the image given to see it's "synth", whatever that is.

whoa, i don't know what's going on but this is cool. I'm like, inside of the image and can explore it's surrounding area and stuff. Weird but cool.
