Title: Horrible remakes.
Post by: Himu on August 18, 2008, 08:45:22 PM
I think the Behind Blue Eyes remake by Limp Bizkit is horrible, but not a lot agree with me. wry

So ITT horrible remakes.  I guess you can put movies too.

The Shining.

Basically shat on Kubrick's masterpiece of a movie, literally removing the entire psychological thriller aspect.

311's version of "Lovesong" by the Cure is pretty terrible. What's even worse is Fall Out Boy's version of "Love Will Tear Us Apart" by Joy Division.

That wasn't horrible. I wouldn't call it good, but I've seen worse remakes.

I was going to say that. Still not as bad as Fall Out Boy's version of "Love Will Tear Us Apart" though.

I agree with you on Limp Bizkit. My friend says that Durst's voice is more powerful and soothing than Townshend's. >.<

Madonna's version of American Pie is absolutely dreadful. I hate how stuff like MTV praises this song.

And as far as movies go, Godzilla is a horrible remake.

:( I didn't know about that!
And I don't ever want to listen to it.

Brand New's cover of "Oh Comely" was pretty bad I think. But I just don't like Brand New.

Also, Limp Bizkit's cover of "Behind Blue Eyes" is unintentionally hilarious. Still sucks though.

Fall Out Boy is a band of "'80s freaks" so you can understand why they would cover famous '80s songs such as Love Will Tear Us Apart and Beat It.

Why the fuck do I keep getting this mixed?

Either way, my point on American Pie still stands. Madonna didn't have the situation that Don was in.
