My favorite band, Children Of Bodom, is headlining a tour. It starts on September 11, and the first date is in Baltimore, which is like 40 minutes away from me. powerofone;
Between The Buried And Me and Black Dahlia Murder are supporting them. I probably won't be able to go, though, because none of my friends like my music and so the only person who I can get a ride from is my mom. My mom always pulls some shit so I can't go, just like when I was going to go to Iron Maiden and Finntroll. :(
What's the best news you've heard all day, Boyah? powerofone;
what the fuck is the children of bodom?
My books came in today, Anthem and Brave New World.

A really kickass metal band, with their name coming from the Lake Bodom murders. powerofone;
And congratulations, Kono. powerofone;

You have just won a free iPod nano
Nothing.
Oh and my special rank was removed, that's pretty good.
Bones break down to balance out the body. ;)
Also getting job applications tomorrow.
The best news today was "Ten more minutes and we're going in".
U.S. Space Command received control of yet another successfully launched spy satellite.
Banjo Kazooie coming to XBLA
I can't stand new Children of Bodom, and Black Dahlia Murder sucks just as much as Between the Buried and Me.
The only song I like on Bodom's new album is Ghost Riders in the Sky, and that's just a cover. :|
Also, my day has been pretty boring and uneventful, aside from getting Rant by Chuck Palahniuk. I fell asleep like 10 pages into it. Not because it was boring, but I was just exhausted. Now my hair is all messy and sweaty.
I found out what I'm eating for the next week

Yeah, but at least at Gigantour they played mostly old stuff. powerofone;
I actually like a lot of
Blooddrunk. It's
Are You Dead Yet? that annoyed me. Some songs from
Blooddrunk I don't like, such as "Tie My Rope" and some others that have huge influence from
Are You Dead Yet?.
Two-face will be in the next Batman.

Well I heard about it 2 days ago, but it's still great... Got 4s on three of my AP exams, giving me 16 credits for college. I'm going to be able to have much more free time now, and may even be able to get an extra day off along with Saturday and Sunday

Interesting book.
Yeah, Anthem is really similar to the Giver, and A Brave New World is also of the same genre, although the subject matter is a bit different. I love those sort of books, unfortunately I never had them assigned for classwork. Only books like Wuthering Heights, Heart of Darkness, and the Scarlet Letter, which could never keep my interest
Quote from: Cameron on July 14, 2008, 09:25:54 PM

First time I've heard that... Why did you think so

I just didn't find the dialogue very interesting, I did enjoy the overall subject matter though, and I fucking hated the ending, but there are sequels so I guess it's not that bad.

You should check it out. It's about a guy in a society very similar to that in the Giver. There is no individuality, with individuals only purpose to serve the greater community, and those with new ideas or who seek to better themselves are persecuted. Much like the protagonist in the Giver, this man feels alienated and that there is something more to life that is being hidden from him. It's probably one of my favorite books

Yeah, but that was in the back. The whole story was unedited in the front, and was only about 150 pages.
I found The Giver to be pretty interesting. baddood;

I may be seeing a movie some time this week.
Yeah, nothing's been happening here. At all.
I didn't hear it, I made it.
My childhood best friend was in the neighborhood and visited my house. We hung out all day and at the end I challenged him to race... In the past 10 years he always beat me at everything physical. But I beat him, and beat him good.
It was awesome. badass
I read the giver when i was like 8 or 9. baddood; still a good book though
