I said DK 64, Golden Eye, and it was a tie between Jet Force Gemmini or Diddy Kong Racing.

Donkey Kong Country due to the amazing soundtrack in that game.

Diddy Kong Racing is also pretty fun.

Since the first resistance sucked pretty bad I'm not counting the second one until I actually play it

Banjo Kazooie(which is coming on xbox live arcade yay!!!), Donkey Kong 64, and Goldeneye007.

And yeah, pocket tales was meh.

dkc is fun, but i got more enjoyment out of dkr, therefore it is my favorite
i don't see how you could call that nostalgia really, i had dkc before i had dkr. both are nostalgia
and yes i've played both and dkc has aged slightly better, but i still got more enjoyment out of dkr

seriously. i blame how young some of you are. too many poor souls that grew up with the n64 instead of the snes. pitiful.

dk64 is even more of a simple collect-a-thon than the banjo games, as opposed to the pure platforming perfection that is dkc1 and 2. the choice is obvious. plus the ost for dk64 sucks.

i don't think it's a tiny step. i still like the game, i just think the soundtrack is boring, kiddy kong is atrocious, the new monikers the characters have are boring (funky is now a greasemonkey? lame.), and i dunno, overall it just seems like they were trying to make something in between 1 and 2, and it came out all awkward. like, not quite as subdued and ambient as dkc1, and not quite as bombastic as 2.

I wasn't necessarily building a point on making DK64 look like a better game than stated, just pointing out his statement of "It has nothing on the first two DKC's cause those are CLASSICS!"

I wouldn't doubt it if in the next 5 years you have people (now being our age group) saying how Donkey Kong Country Returns sucks and DK64 is a classic.

Trust me, I'm not trolling. Honest opinions here, bro. I'm not "nostalgic." I never had a space of time where I wasn't still playing my old games. I have all my old consoles, and all my old games, and the good ones are still good, and the bad ones are still bad. Simple as that.

You're new here, so you don't know me very well. That's why I'm letting you get away with your baseless assumptions lightly.

"Classic" means nothing to me, by the way. They're amazing because they're amazing games, not because of how old they are or some dumb shit like that. I never even used the word classic, nor did I ever try to use anything like that as an argument.
