Title: dammit clothes.
Post by: Daddy on May 19, 2008, 09:04:02 PM
MY HEIGHT AND WEIGHT MAKE A PROBLEM.

I'm tall so I need to get clothes that fit me vertically. However, this makes my clothes really big on me.  :(  With pants it's not as much as a problem since I wear them low, but with shirts it's really annoying.  Any suggestions to solve this problem?

go to trendy clothes stores and find the shirts that advertise "slim" or "mod" fit, they are tailored to be a bit long but slim... these are mostly button-downs but there's also a couple of cool designers (at least) who make a lot of t-shirts made longer than is normal and slim

Buy clothes that fit; get a new shirts that fit you. The mall has everything. Or stretch it so it's long. Or have it personally tailored/altered to fit you.

And if you're poor, go downtown to the local black market or something. Wait where do you live? In downtown L.A. they have shirts for as low as 3 for $20 for those fake brand-name stuff, and about 50 cents to 5 bucks for just plain t-shirts and simple crap. I dislike it there, it's ridiculous, but I admit, I am one of them, and I buy the stolen handbags for looks that I bought something(they were stolen, weren't they?) or anything that I can detect was real.

James, you wear baggy jeans? Or at least let them hang off your ass?

You need an upgrade son.

Some stores have a big and tall section. Try to find one that does. Then you can get longer sizes.

He's not that tall, or big, his main problem is finding shirts that are slim as well as long on account of him being really skinny and weigh as much as a fragile Asian female.

I know. But they have slim sizes that are longer. I have a friend who has the same problem. I have seen JMV's pictures silly.

I have a similar problem... A large usually is too short, and while XLs are longer, they also seem to get wider, which looks stupid

JMV is around 6 feet tall and weighs 12o-ish, no matter how slim the Big and Tall section is not for him. In fact, if you're   not at the very least 6'4" I wouldn't even bother going in there.

I'm in the same boat. My pants are always and inch or two too short. Shirts are fine though. I can still wear shirts from four years ago.
